New England White Elephant sale find....nice vintage 1940s Shenandoah Ware pottery platter in vintage used condition.  A very beautiful large 16" platter with various imperfections including crazing, discoloration, pattern wear, and a chip and crack along the rim of the piece.  Beautiful piece if you are not looking for perfection.
The following item is a lovely vintage circa 1940 platter. It is marked Shenandoah Ware ~ The Paden City Pottery Co. Made in the U.S.A. Under Glaze J-46-P.
I believe the pattern is Floral Rose....with gold and rose flowers around the perimeter.  It is quite a large platter measuring approximately 16" long and 13" wide. The platter itself weight 3 lb 7 oz.  Quite the substantial piece.  The condition isn't great but nothing that takes away from the beauty of the piece. Very pretty item!
These might be nice for a collector who isn't overly concerned with condition.  There is crazing all over, no real stains to speak of, and  the floral designs do show wear.  The plate with the blue morning glories has a small chip pointed out by the pink arrow.  The pictures pretty much tell it all.
