Paden City Pottery Highlight? Pepper 2 plates 8 1/4 inches Justin Tharaud

These are from my folks' collections. They have been packed away with a box of Russel Wright pieces.  They were purchased at flea markets or shows back in the 80's most likely. I am going to leave the stickers on them. I think my folks must have been trying to make a set because the writing is not theirs.  They will all need to be cleaned as they were packed away before they were cleaned.
This listing is for 2 salad plates - 8 1/4 inches diameter. The description on the box said the color was pepper. It is a blackish color. They don't have a lot of utensil scratches but what they do have I can feel with a fingernail. They are deeper than a light graze. There is one tiny fleabite on the backside of the rim as shown. I missed it the first 10 times I looked, it is tiny.
